Genes and Psoriatic Arthritis – CxC R4 and IL8

Here is a paper describing the different gene levels in people with arthritis  (RA and PA) are different to those in healthy people. (Microarray – CXC R4)

Another paper describes how proteins are different in patients with PA, RA and AS. (Proteomics – IL8 CxCL8 increase in PA and AS compared to RA)

Other research has shown that methotrexate may work by lowering IL 8 (although this study only involved 10 people)
